My Story
On the 23rd September 2005 I bought a Black Motorola V220 from the Link Store in Grantham. The Guy who served me, convinced me to buy a £20 cover-plan, just incase it incurred an accident. 3 weeks later, the screen appeared cracked (under the glass) and a beautiful rainbow of colored liquids was swirling about behind the screen.
I took it back to the store, hoping for a repair or replacement, but to no avail. I was told that 'The 28 day return policy only applies if the phone is in the same condition you bought it' (the leaflet says otherwise). I told them about the cover plan I bought, but was told that it didn't cover 'that sort of accident'.
Naturally, I was very pissed off, after two months of complaining to the manager and writing to head office, I had a useless phone, no apology and no refund. That is why I created this site.
Why The Link are Scumbags
If you don't know why the Link are Scumbags (shame on you) then here's why:
- Gormless Staff
- Inferior Products
- Staff that are helpful until something goes wrong with your phone.
- Accident cover the covers all damage except the type your phone has.
- They attach the dummy phones to wires as they think that someone would give two hoots about stealing one.
What I urge you to do:
Show those scumbags that we are not happy, and this doesn't just apply to the Grantham Store. Here are some suggestions as of how to do this:
1. Boycott all Link stores, shop at any other phone retailer
2. Spray-paint offensive messages on the shop front, I'll leave it up to you as to what you put.
3. Throw bricks through the windows and loot the place. Then sell the goods as doorstops (Its all they're good for)
4. Shout abuse at anyone that works there.
5. if you personally know a Link employee, cease all contact with them (Even if it’s your Mum)
6. Wait in a dark corner until closing time and pounce on the employees when they leave. Take their phones and break them.
